Both krill oil and fsh oil contain the omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA. These nutrients help to decrease infammation throughout the body, in places like joints, arteries, and the brain.*
The diference between krill oil and fsh oil is how they carry and deliver EPA and DHA: krill oil is made up of phospholipids, fsh oil is made up of triglycerides.
This is a big deal because that's what all of our cells' membranes are made of allowing for smooth passage for EPA and DHA. In turn, this means increased use of nutrients contained in krill oil.
Phospholipids are the reason why krill oil can do more with less EPA and DHA than fsh oil.
In other words, when EPA and DHA piggyback on the more absorbable phospholipids, a higher percentage of omega-3's are utilized by our cells.
